Xiaomi’s Mi Note launched a couple of weeks ago alongside the Mi Note Pro, a high end version of the same device. That flagship variant will arrive within the next couple of months, but the Mi Note has already made its debut in China in a limited run. Xiaomi has now revealed that the handset sold out of that run within 3 minutes.
Sure, the company has not said exactly how many devices it was, but it should be a sizeable amount of units and selling out that quick is impressive however it’s cut. The company often sells devices in this way, drip feeding batches before a full launch and it has proved successful as Xiaomi recently announced 2014 smartphone sales of over 68 million units.
