Samsung Tizen Z1 has moved 50,000 Units

Samsung unveiled the Z1 a couple of weeks ago, it was the first smartphone from the company that boasts its own in-house Tizen platform. How well the handset is doing in India (where it is currently exclusive) will depend on what source you believe. Last week Reuters said the device was off to a slow start, but Business Korea is citing a Samsung official who says that the Z1 is performing well.

The publication cites Samsung’s vice president of Mobile and Information Technology, Asim Warsi and he says that "the sales volume of the Z1 exceeded our expectations". There is no actual official figure, but Indian press is reporting that Samsung has sold 50,000 Z1 smartphones in 10 days, not a bad number considering it is running an unproven and new platform.
