LG Grows Smartphone Sales by 24%

g3 header LG Grows Smartphone Sales by 24%

LG has taken full advantage of Samsung’s decline, although it is not the only company that has, alongside the likes of Xiaomi. The Korean company has enjoyed sales growth through quarters in 2014 and the end of year results are equally impressive and show that the company is building off the great success of the G3 flagship.

Through 2014 the company managed to increase smartphone sales by a sizeable by 24% through last year. LG sold 78.2 million handsets through the year, but 59.1 million of them were of the smart variety. That puts LG behind Huawei (75 million), Xiaomi (61 million), and Lenovo in sixth place, with Apple and Samsung out in front. LG may be down in sixth, but the company will think it can build on that 24% growth and catch those slightly above it in the fight for 3rd place.
