The Nexus 6 is the best smartphone Google has ever released (the handset is built by Motorola), and it is the first true flagship to carry the Nexus name. With its Quad HD and other top line specs, the Nexus 6 is a tour de force, but like other previous Nexus smartphones, it is pretty scarce and is sold out more often than not.
In fact, the Nexus 6 has been sold out with regularity since it launched last November. Google’s CFO, Patrick Pichette has explained why that is the case, and it’s all because the company was not prepared for the sheer demand. He said the Nexus 6 is a “very well received as a new phone,” but “we had real issues and were unable to secure sufficient inventory to meet the demand we had forecasted.
So in other words, Google did not back itself up with enough units. In a bid to shift more Nexus 6 handsets, Motorola has recently started selling it on its official website.
