Oppo has made a name for itself with its strange and innovative smartphones, and the company is known in western markets for its devices with swivelling cameras. The company has enjoyed decent growth, especially in China, but Oppo is planning for 2015 to be massive and a year in which it will position itself alongside the Samsung’s, Apple’s, and Xiaomi’s of the world.
According to DigiTimes (citing Chinese sources), Oppo is planning on shipping 50 million smartphone through the twelve months of 2015. These are not sales to end users, but if Oppo is willing to ship this many handsets then it must be planning on selling them. China will make up the bulk of shipments with 35 million units heading to the country, with the remaining 15 million reserved for global markets.
