The LG G3 set the company among the smartphone elite and made it a true competitor to fellow South Koran giant Samsung. Now LG plans to keep the pressure on its compatriot with the upcoming G4, a handset that is now apparently going to come with a highly functional stylus.
Reports are suggesting that LG’s patented G Pen will be launched with the G4, making the new flagship an entertainment beast, but also a productivity machine too. Of course, LG already has a stylus packing smartphone in the shape of the LG G3 Stylus variant. However, that budget device does not have a stylus to match Samsung’s S Pen.
The S Pen ships with Sammy’s Note series handsets and it goes beyond mere stylus functionality with an array of features and software tools. It is a standout piece of hardware that sets the Note series apart in the phablet market. The G Pen, LG’s imaginatively titled rival will deliver similar functionality and will provide the first true rival for Samsung’s offering.
Considering the G4 will also come with a Quad HD screen, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 20.7 megapixel camera, it is shaping up to be an absolute beast.
