There where reports coming out that Nokia would be making Android smartphones in 2016 when their contract was up with Microsoft to use the Nokia name. However it wasn't confirmed until recently when trusted sources from Nokia China gave out some new information.
Not only did they confirm that Nokia will be getting back into handsets but also that 2016 have them move their R&D offices to China. Also rumored is they will make all their devices in China and fall inline with other manufacturers.
Exactly what these devices will look like is still up in the air. Microsoft took a lot of talent and bought the rights out to a lot of designs where crafted by Nokia. Hopefully 2016 will finally be the year where the Android OS marries the strong sought after Nokia hardware.
