HTC was once the Samsung of the mobile community able to make Windows devices, Android devices you name it. With stunning hardware and brilliant features HTC made the phones you had to have than something happened and that was no longer the case. HTC's market share sank along with it's profits and the companies future looked dim....
Than HTC went back to what it did best to try to regain market share and made a hardware stunner in the HTC One M7, got new management and reorganized almost everywhere. HTC just put it's 1st qtr's numbers out for 2015 and it looks like those moves are starting to pay off.
According the press release the 1st qtr was up 25% from last year in revenue, had an 11 million dollar profit and had a gross margin of almost 20%! HTC is forecasting these trends to stay just as strong for next quarter. This is great news for HTC as it looked like they were going to be a victim of the mobile churn that chews tech companies up and spits them out.
