You can color us plenty disappointed that Samsung will not be launching the Galaxy Note 5 in the UK or Europe until at least 2016, but at least the phablet flagship is rolling out to plenty of other nations.
Samsung said that it would not release the device in Europe, and has not even confirmed if the handset will arrive at all. It was a strange choice, Samsung said it was playing market conditions, and while the iPhone is very popular in Europe there are still huge high income nations like the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and more. In other words, these are exactly the kinds of populations that buy smartphone flagships that cost hundreds of dollars.
Cambodia, Libya, and Iraq however are not, these a low income nations where lower end devices are more common, even feature phones. So, finding Samsung favouring those nations over Europe is baffling, even from a market view where the company wants high end exposure in emerging markets. Oh well, what’s done is done we guess.
