Sony’s Xperia Z4v is hard to judge. On the one hand it is an excellent device with the best specs, premium design, and solid software. However, it is not the flagship we wanted from Sony and we would like to see the company revamp its overall Xperia Z design. That said, the Xperia Z4v is the best Sony has ever made in terms of pure hardware and next month users in the USA will be able to buy one.
The nations’ biggest carrier, Verizon, has confirmed that it will carry the Xperia Z4v starting from August 13th, although Big Red has not revealed how much the handset will cost. Sony has often treated the U.S. market as an afterthought, but a lagging smartphone brand and declining sales means the company is showing more interest than ever in the States. Linking with Verizon is a smart move to ensure the Xperia Z4v reaches a lot of consumers.
The Xperia Z4v is the first ever Sony smartphone to come with a Quad HD screen, while it also gets other specs like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 coupled with 3GB of RAM. Elsewhere there is water and dust resistance, a 3,000 mAh battery, 32GB of on board storage and micro SD card slot. Sony is the leading smartphone camera sensor company in the world its 20.7 Exmor lens is present here on the rear, with a 5 megapixel shooter up front.
